“As a Hampshire based charity focused on breaking the cycle of abuse by providing innovative interventions for perpetrators, we are really pleased that such a directory of support services is finally available. Our work with frontline professionals has shown that there is often little knowledge about what services are available and who can be referred, leading to many missed opportunities to address behaviour and thereby improve the lives of victims. This directory will change this.

However, I also encourage professionals to fully engage with perpetrators before referring them into any service – engaged perpetrators are much more likely to successfully complete interventions. Through our work we understand that many frontline professionals don’t feel equipped and confident to start those important conversations, which is why we have developed the DARE Toolkit. It is designed to give professionals the confidence and skills needed to engage with perpetrators and ensure any referral happens to the right service, at the right time.”
